About

The work

I am the founder and CEO of Five Blocks. We help companies and people manage how they show up on Google, Wikipedia and, more and more, in AI answers. Your reputation is a credit score for trust, and most people only check it when something goes wrong. We help them check it early and keep it healthy.

Five Blocks started almost by accident in 2003, when I was selling cell phones online under the name YouNeverCall. When the work moved into consulting, the company got a new name, and it grew into an agency for large companies and prominent individuals. Today our team of 65 in Jerusalem works with more than 120 clients, from major financial institutions to PR firms and law firms.

Everything else

I grew up an Army brat, moving between Army bases in the US and Germany, and moved to Israel after college. My wife Ofi and I have eight kids, and our favorite family hobby is going somewhere far away together: Madagascar, Tanzania, Norway, the Philippines and South Africa so far.

I also like to build things, especially now that AI makes it possible to go from idea to something real in an evening. Some of it is useful, some of it is just for fun.

Ideas I still have not built

This blog started as a place to write down ideas instead of actually building them. A few are still waiting:

• Mirrored sunglass contact lenses (a novelty item)
• Glow-in-the-dark plants (energy-efficient night lights? safer parks?)
• Ambient information displays for the home (in the shower?)
